Hello, my name is Ben Castro and I have been a realtor since 2004. I grew up on a 250-acre beef cattle farm where we raised black Angus beef cattle. Prior to my main career as a County Agent, I was a Field Engineer for NCR, Leon County Florida Deputy Sheriff,  and a farmer. After getting my Bachelor's in Agronomy and Masters Degree in Vegetable Crop Science from the University of Florida, my main career was as an Agriculture Extension Agent in Florida and North Carolina, and as a University of Georgia County Extension Director in Montgomery County, Ga. I was inducted to the membership of the Gamma Sigma Delta, National Honor Society of Agriculture.

After retiring from my main career, I became a realtor and have sold many $Millions of property:  large timber tracts, large and small farms, homes, lots, condos, beach, and recreational properties. Of course, few people have the agriculture and farming expertise I have, and I tend to specialize in the marketing of timberland, cropland, equine properties, cattle ranches, and hunting-recreation tracts. As an agent for UF, UG & NCSU I attended many forestry management trainings and completed Master Tree Farming Certification. For a number of years, I was a Certified Prescribed Burner in Florida while assisting landowners with timber management and representing them with their real estate management & development and marketing needs. I am ready to help you with the professional marketing or purchasing of either small or large tracts. I have professional training in farm crop or livestock management and farm financial management and am willing to share my knowledge or point you to the best source of agriculture information.
